  3. London 1 Dec 1925. The pact settled the
  4. question of French security, and the
  5. signatories - Britain, France, Belgium,
  6. Italy, and Germany - guaranteed the existing
  7. frontiers between Germany and France, and
  8. Germany and Belgium. The prime mover in the
  9. pact was British foreign secretary Austen
  10. Chamberlain. Following the signing of the
  11. pact, Germany was admitted to the League of
  12. Nations.
